Where does the time go? It’s been over three months since our last blog update, and Thanksgiving is already behind us. Before you know it, Christmas will be upon us. Time sure flies when you’re having fun! 🙂 Hey, at least the snow has held off, but the cold weather is breathing down our necks (literally) and we probably won’t be able to avoid the snowfall for too much longer.
Anyway, quite a lot has happened since the last update. Construction is moving along as quickly as possible, but it just never quite feels fast enough. We’re pretty excited to get these new log cabins up and running so they can be enjoyed by others like us who love the Hocking Hills area!
Our Creekside Serenity cabin is the furthest along as you can see from the pictures below. It’s under roof, it’s been stained, doors are on, [almost all] the windows are in, and plumbing and electrical have been roughed in. For the most part, landscaping is even done except for a few tweaks later and of course — building of the sandstone fire-pit. Click any of the picture below for a larger view.
Our Sandstone Oasis log cabin is lagging about 1 week behind Creekside Serenity. As you can see, the metal roof isn’t on yet and it’s not stained yet. The shower and tub are inside, but plumbing and electrical hasn’t been done yet. Expecting it to be caught up to the same point by the end of this week.
